Dawn M. Salas
Dawn M. Salas is the managing attorney at Salas Law. Ms. Salas received her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s School of Law in New York in 2002. After graduating from law school in New York she served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted criminal cases including DWI, domestic violence, economic and sex crimes.
In 2006, Ms. Salas moved to Texas and began providing services in the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law and Immigration Law. Ms. Salas has great passion for immigration law, as such, she has limited her practice to immigration law.
As part of her immigration practice, she has served a diverse client base including employers in the following industries: technology, manufacturing, financial services, management consulting, education and energy, among others. Her area of practice includes all aspects of business immigration, including H-1B, E-1/E-2, F-1, L, O, P, R, TN, U, Labor Certification and permanent residence. She provides strategic counseling on matters of U.S. immigration and nationality law, and conducts audits to ensure compliance with immigration laws, Department of Labor regulations and the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Service programs. In addition, Ms. Salas has also gained extensive experience while helping clients obtain permanent residency based on sponsorship by a qualifying family member as well as those seeking naturalization.
Ms. Salas is currently licensed to practice law in Texas as well as in
New York. When she's not in the office, she spends time with her husband
and three children.
